the time for CHURCH on sunday double hour! (we've moved!) welcome.

welcome to my 3rd home in the XRAY.fm schedule.  I am quite  pleased with these new digs. way way way back since the first week we were on the air as a real functioning FM radio station, I was scheduled for Saturdays from 3pm to 5m.  then along came april 2014, when the programming department confronted me with the obvious: jazz, let alone all its even more obscure sub genres, including the infamous "free jazz" or aka the one kind of music that most people think is complete bullshit (its cool - i understand - but you're all wrong!) has no place on saturday afternoons competing for airwaves with Garrison Kealor.  I fought the nice fellas in music programming about my potential new schedule, tooth and nail, every step of the way (cuz I suck like that, I'm a snobby lil bitch, not to be fucked with ... and they were doing their best and being so polite, and i was being stubborn and impossible to get in touch with...that said, in my defense, I gotta say: we jazz DJ's have been getting swept under the 2:00 to 6:00am radio rug since time immemorial, so we can be a little sensitive when it comes to being hidden from the masses, and besides, the music we are trying to share with the world is by far superior to everything else out there, and anyone who says otherwise, just doesnt understand [sarcasm implied] ya dig?). After a bunch of failed attempts to get me on the phone or a reply from me via email, time had run out...check mate - my asshole head trip had to end, and after some diplomatic conversations, we agreed that Wednesdays at 11pm was something everyone could live with, and that was that.  

Welp, welcome to chapter 3 of The Changing Same, just in time for year 3 of XRAY.fm: The Changing Same on Sunday nights at 23:00.  I couldn't be happier! you gotta admit, my new slot occurs during hours that are a lot "jazzier" (I will burn in hell for saying that) than my previous position in the weekly schedule.  

i digress, blah blah, yada infinitum ad nauseum...I wanna thank all my xrayfm comrades  for being the SHIIIIIIIIIIT and all the xrayfm listeners for being the shit as well.  now lets join hands in FM radness and prance into the musical infinitum ad nauseum yada blah blah XRAYfm 2016 baby!
