The Common Good 9/27/17
On this episode of The Common Good, Joe visits with Linda Garcia, Executive Director for Community Roots Collaborative. Also known as C-Roots, Linda talks about her organization’s project to build a community of tiny homes to help those who are unhoused and blend them with folks who want to downsize and at the same time, help others.
The rest of the show is dedicated to two events that we attended and roamed around with a microphone asking people what they want to hear on local community radio. In this episode of the Common Good, we share with you what we heard at two popular events in Clark County.
Earlier this summer, we visited the new and exciting ConnectFest, hosted by Impactful Women Northwest. It was held at Heathen Estate and we had a great time connecting and getting to know other members of our community and what they want to hear from us.
And just a few weeks ago, the team gathered to run a booth at the Peace and Justice Fair at Esther Short Park in downtown Vancouver. People came by and told us what the Peace and Justice fair meant to them and what they want from their radio station.
