This will be the second episode working with records I brought back from my recent trip to Brazil... this time the focus will be MPB.
MPB stands for Musica Popular Brasileira, or Brazilian pop music. That term is even more of a catch-all in Brazil than it is here; it may include rock, soul, easy listening, disco, and more. The first hour of today's show focuses on sounds from late 60s and early 70s; I kick off the show with a set of lounge sounds, then wrap up the first hour with some AM radio-style pop nuggets.
Second hour today is devoted to more modern sounds, from soul and slowjams to disco and boogie.
