The Case of the Afro-Latin Scrapbook
Today is a bit of a trip down memory lane...
For this show I have selected latin-inspired tunes from Africa. These are all songs that graced The Adventures in the first couple years of XRAY, but have not been played in the past 2 years. Time to dust 'em off!
For today's show I am largely ignoring my trove of music from The Congo, with its unique Afro-Latin Rumba style. I am also largely ignoring latin inspired fare from the strongholds of Senegal, Angola, and Cape Verde. Today's show will focus on secondary African markets for latin flavored music: Ivory Coast, Benin, Guinea, and Burkina Faso dominate the playlist today.
