Tonight on Night School, it is my great pleasure to host The Legendary Beyons. Quite possibly the longest running vocal group on the West Coast, this band has been crooning in unison since 1968. Occasionally compared to the vocal stylings of Blue Magic or The Stylistics, The Legendary Beyons began work at Jefferson High School. Their backing band at the time was the Soul Masters - an early incarnation of the band, Pleasure. Members of The Legendary Beyons have gone on to perform with Lyle Lovett, Michael McDonald, and the Oregon Symphony. Tonight’s program will feature selections from The Legendary Beyons unreleased 1977 session with Pleasure as well as some new music from the group and an exclusive interview.
