Tonight on Night School, it is my absolute pleasure to host the one and only, Randy Starr. It's been nearly two years since Randy dropped into the studio and we've still yet to record a conversation! If you know Randy's work, then you know he's nothing short of a legend in the community. As a bassist and bandleader, Randy has played in a wealth of local groups beginning in the early 1970s: Slickaphonic, Sophistacated Funk, Groove Tube, Flirt Band, Randy Starr & The Players...and many more. Known for his iconic style sensibility and showmanship, Randy's performances you must see to believe. Tonight we'll get a taste listening back to some of his catalog & shedding light on the scene.
