It’s my honor tonight to host the Sweater Funk DJs out of San Francisco. We will be live on XRAY and playing records later this evening as well.
Throughout the past decade, the Sweater Funk crew has thrown down all manner of boogie cuts at their weekly residence in the Bay. Along w/ Dam-Funk’s Funkmosphere crew in LA, Sweater Funk is largely responsible for the resurgence in 70s/80s funk & steppers. If you’ve ever purchased a rare boogie record for over $50, it’s likely due to these ladies and gents having popularized it. Tune in this eve as the Sweater Funk DJs go back-to-back spinning all original vinyl.
