The Common Good 10/16/19

First to join The Common Good this week is a group of folks who are working hard to make sure that in times of emergency, we will be ready to communicate with each other.  We're joined today by Sue Aberle, Emergency Coordinator for Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) / Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES) for Clark County.  We hear a lot about the "big one" earthquake, and Sue and her team recently held a large practice event to make sure we're well prepared to stay in touch in the event of any emergency.   

Later in the show, KXRW's very own Roben White visits a unique art gallery in Portland's Pearl district with a connection to Vancouver.  Together we learn more about artist Arlene Enns from Canada and her connection with our local area.

We wrap up the show with an interview with Wendy Marvin from Girls Inc. at Cellar 55 for a Give More 24! Fundraiser.
