<< KXRW Original Reporting

This month host Steven Glickman interviews Tony Tekaroniake Evans, author of the books "Teaching Native Pride" and "A History of Indians in the Sun Valley Area." Tony is also an award winning journalist and a citizen of the Mohawk Nation.

In the interview, we discussed Tony's latest book, "Teaching Native Pride," which tells the story of the Upward Bound program run out of the University of Idaho campus in Moscow, Idaho. We talked about how he came to the project, how the program radically differed from notorious Residential Schools, the leadership of Isabel Bond, and more.
