Our Bloody Empire

For this show I wanted to learn why so many people from Central and South America are leaving their homeland and risking their lives to travel to America. What were the driving forces behind this mass migration? 

In doing my research I learned two basic facts: the first fact is: all too often, the people migrating from Latin America are migrating to the country that has been the cause of why they had to escape, the second fact is more of a clue: the reason the Latin American Immigrants are leaving their homeland helps explain how the people of the United States comprise only 5% of the world’s population yet we use well over 30% of the world's resources.
