<< The Women's Mosaic

In Part 2, Hosts Elizabeth Madrigal and Karen Morrison continue their interview with Desiree Hellegers, a professor of English teaching at the WSU-Vancouver campus. Dr. Hellegers is also the co-founder and director of the Collective for Social and Environmental Justice.

Dr. Hellegers is involved in "The Thin Green Line is People" Project, which documents the efforts of people in the Pacific Northwest in opposing fossil fuel reliance and in preserving the delicate eco-systems of the region. The conversation with Dr. Hellegers focuses on the topics of climate change, health equity, and the impact militarism has on climate collapse.
