Spotlight for Justice April 3rd 2025

Host Michelle Bart welcomes two guests to talk about gun violence and what they’re doing to combat the threat of gun violence in our community. 

First Michelle welcomes Angela Ferrell-Zabala, Executive Director of Moms Demand Action, a grassroots movement of Americans fighting for public safety measures that can protect people from gun violence. Angela has served as Moms Demand Action’s first-ever Executive Director since 2023. She’s a lifelong community organizer passionate about bringing people together and is a Washington, DC-based mom of four. In her role, Angela leads Everytown’s grassroots advocacy efforts of Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action.

Michelle’s second guest is Oregon State Attorney General Dan Rayfield. Dan is recently elected and started serving as Oregon’s Attorney General at the beginning of 2025. Dan previously served in the Oregon State Legislature rising to the post of Speaker of the House, his work there reflecting his commitment to advancing the health and economic well-being of all Oregonians. As Oregon’s Attorney General, Dan is focused on strengthening community safety and upholding Oregon’s values and the rule of law.
