FoodVille~A Retro Trip to Paul's Restaurant and then off to Clark County Food Bank, Giving and Receiving 11/20/25

Foodville brings you a twofer this Month beginning at Paul's Restaurant and Elbow Room Bar.  Monique King, her husband Paul Rosenbluh along with their friend Toby Maloney have reimagined this iconic landmark all the while keeping the retro vibe fully intact and celebrated.

Join us as Monique shows me the curved booths, the original stained glass throughout and the excellent collection of 70's art and artifacts. Then she treated me to a yuuummy bowl of their signature shrimp and grits with smoked Tasso ham and a delightful slice of banana cream pie. It's a completely scratch kitchen which Monique says, "Is retro too!"

In part two we visit Emily Shaw at the Clark County Food Bank.  Emily dispels some of the myths regarding Food and SNAP Programs and will definitely inspire you to reach out to one of their many giving locations throughout Vancouver as a recipient, a donor or as a volunteer. To quote Emily, "Love travels on food."
