Bridgeworks Oregon: ponyXpress

PonyXpress Radio Series
Executive Director Daniel Wilson and
Creative Director Tracy Schlapp of Bridgeworks Oregon bring art and
music experiences into prisons across the state. For this three-part
radio series they have recorded some of the writers
who participate in their workshops at Oregon State Penitentiary in
Salem and at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in Wilsonville. This
series was funded by Oregon Humanities.
It is part of a larger project, the
PonyXpress which is produced in partnership with the adult in
custody-led Lakota Oyate-ki Culture Club at Oregon State Penitentiary.
The PonyXpress combines face-to-face workshops with
an online literary publication dedicated to writers who are
incarcerated across the state of Oregon. The program receives support
from Regional Arts & Culture Council, Oregon Community Foundation,
and Spirit Mountain Community Fund. It received generous seed
money from Oregon Arts Commission. Subscriptions support the work, go
