The Eighteenth Case of the Brazilian Tag Team
This week I am continuing the theme of modern sounds on The Adventures...
I will be joined again by DJ Brother Charlie to do a tandem show featuring all Brazilian music from the current millennium (OK, I'm cheating with four tracks from '98 and '99).
My opening set starts with some clubby lounge grooves as house DJs play around with vintage Brazilian breaks. We will sample some current Brazilian pop sounds (many tracks here produced by the diaspora in Western Europe) before I close my set with some dancefloor friendly modern funk.
The second hour today digs into the ridiculously deep crates of Brother Charlie; I'm guessing there will be a strong showing for the surprisingly awesome Brazilian hip hop scene.
