Today’s show follows one of the long running staples of my playlist… this will be a new episode of Pirates’ Radio of the Caribbean, my opportunity to mix together sounds from Latin America, the French West Indies, and Brazil, hearing the way these sounds from different cultures influenced one another, especially music for carnaval. The playlist today features rootsy and rural sounds from the Americas with a special two-part focus: the theme of the first hour will be charm, the theme of the second hour will be drum.
