ALoSo is a NYC street kid at heart & PDX local based artist, DJ, visionary, and community events curator/ organizer in the city. With Central American cultural roots, his passion within music lay in various tribal rhythms, and tie into the eclectic tastes of urban, underground, grunge, hip hop & dance music. A proud contributor to LGBTQIA2S+ & POC spaces, you can catch him playing throughout the city providing a variety of tunes that cater to various collectives, and genres. He is one of the resident DJs for The Rebound KiKi ball, and creator of Fever Dream PDX. Outside of DJing in the nightlife scene, ALoSo teaches intro to DJ courses through local non profit, Cada Casa, collaborates with many talented Artists, Curators, and City Organizations- while also working at Portland's own, local Hip Hop and R&B radio station, The NumberZ 96.7FM.

"It’s been a while since I’ve recorded a radio mix. It’s actually how I started as a DJ, recording weekly episodes for over a year on radio and calling it tribALoSo.

As DJ ALoSo, “tribALoSo” represents the mixtures of Afro Latin inspired tribal music, no matter the speed. In this mix, I wanted to incorporate the origins of me as an artist/DJ; as for my background as a NYC native. My Central American roots bring up the love for indigenous sounds of percussion, drums from South America tropical beats, and my love for European influenced tribal, club, techno, trance/ambient, and grungey but soft to hard sounds. I'll often mix in vibes of my upbringing in the streets of NYC, including sounds of early house, reggaeton/dembow riddims, hip hop influences, all combined with my love for house music. I’m just really feeling the pre-spooky fall season vibes coming back y'all, and reminiscing on the sounds that bring me back full circle to who I am as an individual."
