Mating Calls

Episode 160 - Crawlspace

4:00pm, 10-28-2024
<< Mating Calls

It’s the fall fund drive and this week's show exists at the confluence of Halloween week (fortunately) and what has been yet another psyche-crushing, emotional-regulation-destroying election cycle (unfortunately). In honor of this gruesome pairing The Jerk will be broadcasting two hours of spooky, scary, and occasionally subversive tunes.

The talk in this episode will focus on XRAY’s status as the premier media platform in PDX for progressive, empathy driven political discussion and all of the amazing work our staff and volunteers are doing on and off-air.

The music will be noisy, political, eclectic, disturbing, psychedelic, and make up one of the all time best mixes The Jerk has ever spun (remains to be seen, but we’re just assuming). You’ll hear tracks from The Mentally Ill, Dog Face Hermans, Malaria!, Colin Stetson, Chat Pile, Steve Lieberman, Electric Wizard, Bratmobile, Barnes & Barnes and so, so, many more (38 tracks!).
