This episode is dedicated to a skilled percussionist from Detroit who also played the conga on a number of iconic funky Motown records from the 1970s. Her name was Ms. Bobbye Hall (also known as Bobbye Porter & Bobbie Hall Porter). Not only did she play on Motown records, she also became a highly sought after L.A. session musician, appearing on 20 top 10 Billboard Hot 100 Hits. Beyond hits, she greatly contributed to some of the finest music released in the 1970s and early 1980s in a variety of genres.
