<< Respected LadyLand / Travlin' the Tracks with DJ Action Slacks
This episode is leaning into jazz quite a bit more than I have done on Respected LadyLand so far. And not just jazz, avant-garde jazz featuring the electronic experimentation of Annette Peacock, my featured artist. She was a spoken word artist, jazz composer, Moog synth pioneer, vocalist, producer and record label founder who broke new ground in the 1960s and 1970s.
Annette Peacock first achieved attention as a jazz composer in the mid-1960s for her then husband Paul Bley. But her journey in music and the record industry would be ground breaking, innovative, and almost consciousness-expanding.
