Episode 223 - Be Yourself

4:00pm, 2-23-2026
<< Mating Calls
Today on Mating Calls, M2S is back and left to her own devices in Studio B, where she'll be closing out Black History Month for 2026. We had originally hoped to do a Frank Ocean tribute, but because today's set is all-vinyl, we'll have to save that theme for a very special episode at a later date.

Frank is a huge influence of today's playlist, though, as we explore soulful sounds and space themes with tracks from Eddie Kendricks, Marvin Gaye, Lauryn Hill, Tajai of The Souls Mischief, Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def), and of course Frank himself--just to name a few. It's gonna be a fun, rhythmic ride home through an atmospheric river as we celebrate the amazing Black American artists who've built ~*the culture*~ from the ground up.
