Tony Furtado 5th Annual Post Thanksgiving Bash
- 8:00pm Saturday, November 28, 2015
Fresh off touring the Midwest and South, renowned Portland-based multi-instrumentalist Tony Furtado - a fiery slide-guitarist, award-winning banjo player and wide-ranging singer/songwriter- is home for the holiday to headline two shows in Portland and Seattle as part of his Annual Post Thanksgiving series. Tony, along with his band and many special guests (Anna Tivel, Eli West, Stephanie Schneiderman, Johnny Connolly, Josh Clauson and more) will play Mississippi Studios on Saturday November 28 and continue up to The Tractor Tavern in Seattle on Sunday, November 29.
With its inception in Boulder, CO almost 20 years ago at The Boulder Theater (Furtado’s previous homebase), the series has become a staple for music lovers in Portland (and now Seattle) since it's migration to the Pacific Northwest five years ago.

“Maybe call it an annual homecoming, or just a reason to play a couple NW gigs and jam with friends,” says Furtado, who plays more than 100 shows around the country a year, “But it's always great to get off the road and share the holiday with familiar faces close to home.”
Tony will be performing material from his new album, The Bell, his 17th full length release. With original songs drawing inspiration from a major career shake-up, the loss of his father and the birth of his son, The Bell is Tony’s most personal, engaging and heartfelt album to date. After parting ways with his long-time management and record label, Furtado dove headlong into his newfound independence with a fury, writing, recording and releasing The Bell - as well as a mostly instrumental companion EP, Copper and Tin - on his own newly formed independent label, YouSayFurtado Records.
