Street Roots Radio on XRAY.FM is a collaborative radio project highlighting the work of the Orange Fence Project in Portland, OR.

Founded in 1999, Street Roots is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization in Portland, Oregon, that creates income opportunities for people experiencing homelessness and poverty by producing a newspaper and other media that are catalysts for individual and social change. Learn more about Street Roots.

Beginning in June 2023, portions of this program are made possible in part by a grant from Oregon Humanities  (OH), a statewide nonprofit organization and an independent affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, which funds OH’s grant program. Oregon Humanities offers programs and publications that help Oregonians connect, reflect, and learn from one another.
