Every last Sunday of the month Dig-A-Pony partners with a different local nonprofit or community organization to highlight the work they're doing in Portland and contribute 10% of daily sales to the group. This month's Do Right Sunday will be held October 27th and funds will go to XRAY.FM to help support them during their fund drive.
XRAY.FM's mission is to hold a microphone up to the best and most distinctive of Portland. To build a culturally relevant center for ideas, music, and creativity in service of a more open media and a more just community.
The night is always free to attend and is anchored by DJ, Shi Shi of XRAY.FM's Everyday Mixtapes -- https://xray.fm/shows/everyday-mixtapes and Chuckkpasta. Together they will be spinning music that makes you feel some type of way. R&B, hip hop, throwbacks, funk, vintage + modern international gems

Arriving just a year after that debut record, At the Party With My Brown Friends is a brand new full-length recording from Black Belt Eagle Scout. Where that first record was a snapshot of loss and landscape and of KP’s standing as a radical indigenous queer feminist, this new chapter finds its power in love, desire and friendship.
At the Party With My Brown Friends is a profound and understated forward step. The squalling guitar anthems that shaped its predecessor are replaced by delicate vocals and soft keys, sentiments spoken and unspoken, presenting something shadowy and unsettling; a stirring of the waters.
The end result presents a captivating about-face that redefines KP’s beautifully singular artistic vision.

Join us for a free film showing and lively community discussion! The urban champion Jane Jacobs had a special relationship with the City of Portland over its evolution as diverse place of mixed uses and walkable neighborhoods. Jacobs championed lively, diverse neighborhoods, and citizen activism to preserve urban communities in the face of destructive development projects. Arguably no one did more to shape our understanding of the modern American city than this visionary activist.
The film will be opened with a brief introduction by Chet Orloff, Oregon historian and author, followed by a Q&A after the film with noted community leaders including Sabina Urdes, a community engagement specialist and chair of the Lents Neighborhood Association. With audience input, we will be discussing Portland’s changing civic relationship with city government, and the fight for neighborhood structure preservation. Citizen Jane is a timely tale of what can happen when engaged citizens fight power for the sake of better cities.

Geek Prom has arrived and we are 100% ready to party. So break out your puffed sleeves, shoulder ruffles, and oversized bow ties. Get out the Aqua Net and tease that hair to the skies. This year's prom is gonna be totally tubular.
Geek Prom is the prom that roots for everyone. We're not looking for the most formally dressed, the hottest date, or a grand limousine entrance. We want a prom that makes you feel good about being you. So come as your truest self, and let's party down in another decade for a little while.
The evening will consist of a mix of entertainment:
- A dance floor with 8-bit beats and 80's jams
- A silent auction of items from your favorite Pacific Northwest organizations
- A costume contest for prom king and queen
- The well-known and loved food cart Taco Pedaler
- A well-stocked bar
- Much more to be announced
Guests are highly encouraged to attend in costume, or otherwise wear their “geek flag” proudly.
Let's party!

Artfair Portland is an avant-garde art fair happening where visitors can buy astounding art in a wide palette of prices—$50 to $1.45M— while participating in new and beautiful art performances.
Our showcase gallery is the Portland Art & Learning Studio — their intellectually and developmentally disabled artists create art that is more pure, shocking and real than anything you have ever seen before.
Artfair Portland is a scripted art happening open to chance and chaos. You’ll have the opportunity to consult with a snake psychic, participate in the world’s largest epic chant, see strange acts and dance to the electronic music of DJ Ganymede and DJ 1-800 Whittaker. The entire event will be filmed and become an episode of season three of “I’m Carlos Now”.
The fair is divided into two zones—the A-Zone where visitors can quietly meditate on Texas Red icons and the D-Zone where artworks, performances and dynamic chaos will create fresh and exciting experiences.
