Geek Prom has arrived and we are 100% ready to party. So break out your puffed sleeves, shoulder ruffles, and oversized bow ties. Get out the Aqua Net and tease that hair to the skies. This year's prom is gonna be totally tubular.
Geek Prom is the prom that roots for everyone. We're not looking for the most formally dressed, the hottest date, or a grand limousine entrance. We want a prom that makes you feel good about being you. So come as your truest self, and let's party down in another decade for a little while.
The evening will consist of a mix of entertainment:
- A dance floor with 8-bit beats and 80's jams
- A silent auction of items from your favorite Pacific Northwest organizations
- A costume contest for prom king and queen
- The well-known and loved food cart Taco Pedaler
- A well-stocked bar
- Much more to be announced
Guests are highly encouraged to attend in costume, or otherwise wear their “geek flag” proudly.
Let's party!

Artfair Portland is an avant-garde art fair happening where visitors can buy astounding art in a wide palette of prices—$50 to $1.45M— while participating in new and beautiful art performances.
Our showcase gallery is the Portland Art & Learning Studio — their intellectually and developmentally disabled artists create art that is more pure, shocking and real than anything you have ever seen before.
Artfair Portland is a scripted art happening open to chance and chaos. You’ll have the opportunity to consult with a snake psychic, participate in the world’s largest epic chant, see strange acts and dance to the electronic music of DJ Ganymede and DJ 1-800 Whittaker. The entire event will be filmed and become an episode of season three of “I’m Carlos Now”.
The fair is divided into two zones—the A-Zone where visitors can quietly meditate on Texas Red icons and the D-Zone where artworks, performances and dynamic chaos will create fresh and exciting experiences.

Join Opera Theater Oregon for a special performance of This Land Sings by Grammy® award winning composer Michael Daugherty. In the format of an old-time radio show, Daugherty has created 11 original songs and five instrumental pieces blending original lyrics with music that often draws from the simple, yet enduring folk melodies that Guthrie would rework into his own songs. Daugherty’s stylistically eclectic work weaves the political, social, and environmental themes of Woody Guthrie’s era with poignant and contemporary relevance. Also on the program is rising composer Michael Lanci‘s award-winning Songs for Joe Hill, inspired by the protest songs of 19th Century labor activist Joe Hill. OTO’s presentation will be the NW premiere of both of these works!
Look forward to performances by Hannah Penn, Daniel Mobbs, Helen Huang, Lisa Neher, and OTO directors Nicholas Meyer, Lisa Lipton and Justin Ralls with stage direction by Julia Bray – with a special appearance by Portland’s very own progressive talk radio host, Thom Hartmann as our radio announcer. Stay tuned for updates in the weeks to come!

By airing music from local artist, playlist from prominent members in the community, and touching on culturally significant topics through PSA’s and interviews, we aim to unify black people from the North to “The Numbers” and everywhere in between.
Celebrating the kick-off of The Numberz 2019 fundraiser, join us for a night of performances from Cool Nutz, DJ Fatboy, Fountaine, Produce Organics, Amenta Abioto, Covi, Quinn, and Micah The Rapper.

Tasty's Potent Edibles and Nectar Cannabis have gathered a powerful all-female lineup for their second concert this summer in celebration of female empowerment and great music. Headlining is the goddess emcee herself Sa-Roc.
We aren’t the first to mix music, comedy, and cannabis, but with Sa-Roc in the building, a very special and diverse mix of top local talent, comedian Vanessa Dawn hosting and a weed bus parked outside of the venue free to use by attendees, we think Rose City will be blessed with unforgettable experiences.
All attendees will have a chance to win freebies and cash prizes by Coinlotto. DJ Mami Miami will begin and end the night out with a dance party in celebration of all goddesses.
Sa-Roc:
Sa-Roc has carved out her own lane through a combination of airtight wordplay and intelligent concepts. She made waves last year with the release of “Forever”, quickly racking up 400k streams on Spotify and over 2M views on YouTube. A voice Okayplayer.com proclaimed “one of the most formidable microphone mavens in the game.” She is scheduled to release her new album this year and word has it that she may be performing some of her new songs.
